Hair

Hello my lovelies :)
, i have been getting back into my hair care a lot more. researching about making it grow, taking vitamins, etc.
First off, let me say that i have never died my hair. It is a brow Lately ny-auburny shade and in the summer i get natural more brighter blond bits throughout it. Its straight with quite wavy strands at the back that i tend to blow dry straight.

I've always had pretty weak hair, that splits. Its not that i constantly apply heat and other bad things, i just have not that great hair. I also have an obsession to pick out my splitties which is sooo naughty! but instead now i've taken to cutting them out with nail scissors :) I've done a bit of researched an found that split ends don't actually stop your hair growing (because you're hair grows from the roots, duh!) but it does make your hair appear and feel dryer, and unhealthy.

Split ends can't be mended, unlike many products that claim to do so. The only way to stop them is prevention, good hair care and then when they are there you can only cut them out, which is what i have been doing recently. But of course, split ends when they split up the middle can shorten your hair again, putting all your hair that has grown to waste :(

But now, my hair is in much better condition. I find it hard to see split ends, its not dry, looks healthy and none of those white ends that appear :P

I've been using Organix Smoothing Shea Butter Shampoo And Conditioner ( about $15 AUD each) , which i think had greatly helped my hair. It smells good, doesn't make me itch, and the shampoo doesn't strip me of all my natural oils.
Then, I use a heat/thermal protectant (because i blow dry my hair most times after i wash it) by Muk. I got this from HairHouse WareHouse (about $25 AUD). I love it! It smells like sweet apples and i've had the bottle forever, but sadly after a devastating spill i am almost out and am eager to try something else. I just run this all through my hair, sides, middle, back, top, front, inside, wherever!

Then i comb through my hair with a wide tooth comb and put TRESemme Thermal Creations Straightening Balm in the parts of my hair which are naturally wavy. (below my neck, about my tips). I have been using this for about a fortnight to a month or so and i think it makes a difference in the texture and straightness of my hair. This product works when heat is applied, it says it makes your hair straighten easily, but it does not protect from the heat. From memory this was probably around $10-15 AUD.

Finally, my last product is Marc Daniels Australia Flat Iron. First off, SMELLS SO AMAZING! Sweet but not overly disgusting ( to me at least). I love it! It is a light cream that is a heat protectant, and i think it activates with heat like the TRESemme balm, but not as much. It makes my hair feel smooth and soft :) I put it on my hair form my collar bone to the ends. Again, i think from memory it's about $7-10 AUD.

And to finish off, i blow dry my hair to dry it, straighten it a little and add volume. :)

I've been taking Swisse Hair Skin Nails Vitamins in the hope it will help :) have only been taking them for a week but i will update after a month.

Also! as a last last note, today i just bought a VS Glide Hair Straightener. So i will also update on how i like that :)

(Most things i bought are available from pharamcy's/drugstores)

My Search for a new foundation

So my beloved Shieshiedo SPF30 Sun Protect Liquid foundation is coming to and end, and I've had it for almost a year so its time to get a new one. I've decided to stay away from MAC foundation and not go too overboard on price. The later rule i will most definitely break.
I want to try the Stila Foundation Wardrobe in Light ($39) Available from Mecca Cosmetics (at least thats where I will buy mine from).
It has around 6 mini products in it, including a primer and 2 tinted moisturisers. The only thing is that there's a 'hydrating primer' and i've researched that it works well for very dry skin and my skin is normal, so I don't want to trigger something that might bring out excess oils. I also like how the foundations have no SPF, so in photo's i might appear less pale for a change :) be afraid of flash no more!

Also, dying to give Nars Sheer Glow a try or the new one from Lancome i've heard about. Granted, both are hellishly expensive but eh.. Oh! And the Chanel Pro Lumiere :) All about the glow... And the Dior Airflash sounds good as well.. Decisions decisions..

Problem is, i don't want something to full coverage, because in a strange way i need freckles and imperfections to make me look less.. doll-like. But i do like my skin to be even.

or maybe if i'm lucky my skin will repair itself to no freckles and total even naturalness :)

Whats inside my handbag?

Whats inside my hand bag, BLOGGER STYLE!
yes, i know i've been slacking for months now but im bored and inspired to get back into it :)

I'll post a picture i took (with my phone) of my bag, then list and ramble in writing about its contents :P

I have my Phone, White Nokia N97 mini. This is my life. This is my (almost) everything. Its a gossip girl phone.. and takes pictures, video, sound, free facebook + twitter, just *sighs* amazing. It is a touch screen/slide with full keyboard.

Ipod, Silver Nano 5th Gen. My other baby! without my iPod i would not survive to today. Kapeeeesh? :P ONly 8GB and i'm having to delete some songs so i can get more on :( everytime i re-sync its a struggle.

Sunnies, cheapies but i love them :) just Wayfers from Cotton On. Sometimes i'll change which ones put in but its usually them. Black frame, Black lense, Classic and ultimately me.

Perfume. Whatever one i decide to wear that day :). Today its Ed Hardy for women. Smells so good. As Coco Chanel said, 'a woman who doesn't wear perfume has no future'.

Drama Monologues, One for school one for an audition at NIDA. Yep, i'm an aspiring actress so wherever i go, they go :P

Mini hair brush, with hair ties around the ends. Sure i never have perfect hair but i figure if the ends look good the rest looks good :)

Wallet, money, cards, change, bus tokens, vouchers, receipts, . I have to many cards for numerous idiotic reasons. But i like them.. so HA!

Camera. YAY! finally got it up and running. Oh how i miss shameless selfie photographs :) And of course blog photos. Its pink with a blue case. About 2 years old but takes really good quality pictures.

Mini pack of tissues, its winter colds come about :(

My keys. just keys and keychains.

A flashlight?! yeah.. i don't know

A 4 sided nail file

Fluffy pink phone case.. which should probably be with the phone.

Deoderant! so important. Must always be fresh.

Compact mirror

Red Nail polish i was wearing last week.

And then we get to my mini bag. Full of everything a girl might need. :) Thats the flowery bag in the picture. I has hand sanitizer, mouthwash, colgate wisp, tampons, pads, blotting tissues, bandaids, breath spray, spare contact lenses, Q-Tips, and then there's enough space for me to put some makeup in if i feel like i'm going to want to touch up through the day.

My bag itself :) All i know is that it's guess, its black and silver, and absolutely me. This bag is me represented in a bag..
I love this bag so much :) example, me and my friends were walking on some grass and i fell in this muddy hard ditch. They ran over thinking i'd been hurt (which i had) and i said 'grab my bag' .. well i didn't want it to get dirty'. And as soon as i said that i'm made fun of for caring more for it than myself :P

And then i have tissues, receipts floating around, a mascara. Who knows what :P

I like to have a bottle of water in there, but im lazy and never get around to it. Or i complain that it gets too heavy.

Much love :) georgie xo
